Giordano Bruno: Heretic, Magician, Gnostic SaintDo what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Giordano Bruno is likely best known for his infamous death at the stake by the Inquisition. Much less known is the metaphysical and magical worldview that landed him there. Bruno can be seen as a proto-Thelemic philosopher of the first rank paving the way for many of the conceptual and spiritual transformations that will explicitly manifest with the advent of the New Aeon. From his advocacy of heliocentrism and an infinite universe, to the fundamental role he placed on Eros and Imagination in the practice of Magic, we will look at the various facets of the life and work of Bruno that warrant his inclusion as a Gnostic Saint in Aleister Crowley’s Liber XV, the Gnostic Mass! Lead by Frater Alethia. Love is the law, love under will.
