Later, I'll figure out how to make this topic "sticky" for newcomers.  For now, since it is less than perfectly obvious, I note that there are two ways to post here, as there were on the Yahoo! group:

• By emailing blazin...@googlegroups.com
• From the web interface via  https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/blazing-star after using the blue "Join group to post" button which should appear on that page if you haven't already been subscribed

And the new calendar again is at http://tinyurl.com/BSOPublicCal and I hope soon to have that set up to send announcements to this list, as we used to do on Yahoo!

Hopefully that'll save a few people a little pain.

I have updated the welcome message for this group to emphasize the fact that, like the Yahoo! Group this replaces, this group is both official and public.  So if you have privacy concerns, you may want to post from a throwaway address, or obscure your civil name, or use a motto, or just remember that anything you post becomes part of the public archive of the list.

This is, in other words, not the place to tell us about bizarre sexual proclivities, your life of crime, or other things you need your employer or family not to know about.
