Hi,

I recorded the flow using the BlazeMeter browser extension and saved it as a Functional Test. I debugged the test and it worked as expected. I then converted the Functional Test to a Performance Test.

In my flow, there is a step where I click a button to download a PDF file. However, after converting the test to a Performance Test, the PDF file is not downloaded and does not exist in the artifacts ZIP folder.

In this case, what is the proper way to handle this scenario? I would like to avoid using JMeter scripting and keep everything within BlazeMeter. If browser-based Performance Tests are unable to download and save files, is there any recommended way to confirm or verify that the PDF can be downloaded successfully?

Thanks!!!

How do you know that the PDF file is not being downloaded? If you expect it to appear in the artifacts folder you can explicitly tell Taurus to store the file via JSR223 Block. Check out Apache Groovy: What Is Groovy Used For? For more information on Groovy scripting in JMeter (it's default executor for performance tests in Taurus)

In BlazeMeter, when I convert a browser-based functional test (Selenium) into a browser-based performance test, I don’t see downloaded PDF files in the test artifacts. In JMeter I can explicitly download the PDF via HTTP request and save/verify it, but in Selenium the browser may open PDFs in the viewer and downloads may not be stored/collected as artifacts by default.
What’s the recommended way to verify a PDF download in browser-based performance tests? Or we have to use Taurus/JMeter script to achieve?

Thanks!

Unfortunately my account doesn't have browser-based performance tests enabled, please consider reaching out to BlazeMeter Support, they should be able to clarify your query.
