Hello,

I am trying to run the following performance scenario.

1. Go to an URL hosted by my company (e.g. http://10k.in.live)
2. This URL plays a HTML5 video stream and has some Javascript logic
3. I would like to have the headless browser "hold" on this page for say 3 minutes so a sufficient number of events can fire from the video player
4. Test done/close the page

What is the best way to code/record this scenario and play it back with 15 VU, 4 ramp up steps, achieve 10-15 RPS (at max) and have the test run for a total of 30 minutes?

Good Day!

You can try using the HLS sampler that was created by Blazemeter.

  • First, There are details of how to configure and use in JMeter for recording scenarios that involve Streaming. Steps are available here.
  • Next, based on your description, you will need to execute it as a Performance test locally,
  • Then, in Blazemeter, you'll need to upload, the plugin, the JMX and file, if possible, to launch this scenario in the platform.
If there are issues launching it in the platform, reach out to the Support team.

Hope this helps you.
