JOB DESCRIPTION:
Need strong NetApp candidate.
Position: NetApp Storage Engineer
3-6 Months
Pleasanton, CA
10+ Years
Relocation: Yes
Skillset: NetApp Storage, OnTap, Scripting exp (Python, PowerShell), Cloud (AWS, Azure)
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage multi PB storage footprint consisting of CIFS, NFS and iSCSI protocols
· Optimize storage for performance
· Troubleshoot issues related to storage from both a storage and application perspective
· Storage data protection framework with archiving to the cloud
· Available for on-call rotation
· Train and mentor junior members on the team
Qualifications and Requirements
· Expert level understanding of OnTap and NetApp technologies (FAS8080, 9000, etc.)
· Expert level understanding of CVO
· Expert level understanding of WFA
· Expert level understanding of Altavault virtual appliance
· Expertise with Vormetric DSM encryption policies and guard point management
· Solid understanding of Flexpod architecture and VMWare
· Solid understanding of encryption technologies and management of encrypted data
· Solid understanding of cloud technologies
· Experience designing, implementing and on-going operation of geo-dispersed storage infrastructure
· Experience with Windows and Linux applications is a plus
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment
· Familiarity with public clouds such as AWS, Azure
· Understanding of basic software lifecycle process
· Scripting skills - Python, PowerShell, etc.
· Experience with any infrastructure automation tools, such as Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, Ansible
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
