Tillnow I was using packet tracer in a windows laptop with intel i3 cpu. However my laptop is bulky and to increase portability I've decided to purchase a windows 2 in 1 tablet & laptop and that contains an intel celeron cpu. Can anybody confirm If I can use packet tracer on a celeron cpu with 4 GB of ram ?

Yes, it shouldn't be a problem; Celeron cpu is not the best but it works. You may have issues when you have many other application open along with PT. I am still using PT on Windows 7 64 bit but 32-bit worked OK as well (officially PT not supported for Win 7 but still works fine). I even used PT on tablet in the past. Note: You can install 32-bit PT on Win 64 bit version,

Yes. Packet Tracer 8.2 fully supports activities authored in Packet Tracer 7.3.0 and above. If you encounter a warning message, the activity was authored using a previous version of Packet Tracer and not all features may work.

Packet Tracer Activities (.pka files) authored or saved with Packet Tracer 8.2 can only be used with version 8.2 of the software or higher. Prior Packet Tracer versions cannot load Packet Tracer 8.2 data files; they will display an incompatibility message.

Please note that if a student using Packet Tracer 8.2 creates a new activity, or saves an activity originally created in a prior version of Packet Tracer, it will not open correctly in an older version of Packet Tracer.
