I think this was posted on here of few years back, was thinking it was on dealer lot in Waverly or Dumont Ia, now its over in New Hampton. From what I understand its the only one painted like this, it was a prototype deal by Deutz to see how it looked and what customers & company folks thought of it.

I use to work for a dealer that sold Deutz tractors. I went to a few schools for them when they were trying to get into the ag. market in the us. It's an amazing engine , for an air cooled diesel . From the 2-cylinder 25-hp up to a 100-hp the engine parts were inter changeable , from the crank up . Then for cooling , if it would go threw the debris screen it would go threw the cooling fins and out the other side of the engine . I unloaded a semi one time at the dealer and when he was back in to get unloaded and i thought for a Kenworth it sounded strange so i asked him what he had for a engine and he tipt the doghouse over and showed me a 650-hp v-12 Deutz . He said deutz foot the bill to convert it over , as far as heating they had a miniture raidiature made to go over the end of the wind tunnel of the heads , this heated the water and a pump kept it circulating , he said it got hot sooner than a water cooled engine . I found these engines fasinating and simple to work on .

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought when Deutz bought AC that they started putting green decals on the Gleaner combine. I remember touring the Gleaner plant in KC and there where like 10 combines in production with the Deutz engine being used at the time.

Before they got a 2366 my Dad and brother had a very late R60 with a Deutz V8, 1992 possibly? It had orange and black decals simialar to what was used on the R62's. But prior to that you are correct the R5,R6,R7 and R50,R60,R70 had green and black decals.

DEUTZ AG celebrates its 160th anniversary on 3 May 2024 with a ceremony in Cologne. Guests from politics, business and society have gathered at the former site of the world's oldest engine manufacturer. The Minister President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hendrik Wst, and the Lord Mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, also have paid tribute to the company. DEUTZ also presented this year's Nicolaus August Otto Award.

The company has announced at the Annual General Meeting that Bert van Hasselt will be the new CEO responsible for the Green segment and the focused development of alternative powertrains. The decision follows the reorganisation of the segment initiated last year.

Since June 2024, all the Group's diesel-powered vehicles at the site have been able to use the paraffinic diesel fuel HVO. This applies to the company's entire fleet in Cologne, including company cars, Deutz safety vehicles, forklifts and test and service vehicles.

DEUTZ is selling Torqeedo, the world's leading manufacturer of outboard and inboard engines, to Yamaha Motor Co, Ltd. The sale of Torqeedo frees up resources for DEUTZ to focus on the development of alternative propulsion solutions in the future and to focus more strongly on market and customer needs.
