Sea of Thieves

So,
I've been watching Pallytime play this game, and the style is just cool as shit.
But it seems like a game that's about 1000% better with multiplayer.

Anyone else interested in checking this thing out?

The water looked amazing. The characters reminded me of Fable, which was cool. 

I don't know, uh, I don't know. I'm kinda torn. On the one hand, I played Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag pretty extensively and that may have scratched my pirate itch and it didn't look all Magoo. On the other hand that's single player so being on a ship full of your mates wot are "Pirates" could be neat. 

This is a tough one.

Yeah.
I've decided to get it. The fact that I can buy it on XBox and I'll
get a PC copy (where I can apparently play the same character
seamlessly) was enough to put me over the edge.
I love the way the ships sail in that thing.
I'm really not sure about the combat system, but as much as the game
is about pirates, and is open world pvp, that doesn't really seem to
be the focus of the game.
Plus the fact that the servers are instanced, so you won't have an
overpopulated gankfest is a pretty big deal.

It may be a mistake (like No Man's Sky was) but I'm at least going to try it.

I think for the most part I'll stop being an early adopter. The Division was fun enough for me but woefully broken for like a year and a half and it's finally just now what it should have been at launch. Wildlands took a year. Then there are the utter failures that never unfuck themselves such as Mass Effect: Andromeda and No Man's Sky. 

It's just better to let the reviews and gameplay vids come out and then jump. Maybe try it again on a free weekend a year later. Maybe.

I dunno. :P
