Hello All,This conference took place on the 6th of April in Busitema University. It started off at 10:00 with a keynote from Nicholas Kamanzi talking about how far we have gone as GDG Busitema.
I also talked about the Sponsorship that Google had provided to the GDG and the upcoming events that we are going to have.
Due to Unbearable circumstances one of the presenters for Ruby was not able to make it but she promised to come another time. We therefore had to do a presentation about Google Drive and Students who don't do computer Engineering liked this Technology very much because it can help them do everything in the Cloud. University lecturers also liked the feature of just getting Links from Students instead of downloading attachments.
Nsubuga Hassan from GDG Mbale took us through the Mapping Session and we were able to learn about the API V2 which most developers had questions about.
Hassan also talked about the upcoming Africa Android Challenge and urged the developers to submit their applications.
We thank Google for the Swag, the Refreshment, internet and Lunch as these motivated most of the Developers we have. We had More than 100 participants.
