C++ Compiler and Ubuntu Linux

Colleagues,

I am looking for Dev C++ compiler plus the latest version of Ubuntu Linux.

Your assistance in sharing these resources shall be greatly appreciated.

This Dev C++ do you intend to install it on Ubuntu?

IMHO Dev C++ is an outdated IDE why not try Eclipse or Code::Blocks?

Crighton,

If you are on Linux, I recommend g++ compiler. If you like IDEs, then Netbeans can do for you it integrates well with g++.

Edmond is right. 

Look also at the Qt IDE.

Just install and test each environment that way you will see whats best for you.
