Action Heroes Satya and Jasmeen took a #WalkAlone , a walk in the woods, a walk and a ride in a late night empty train compartment. Walk Alone once. Fight fear. Walk Alone again. Action Heroes Jajwalya and Sriraksha , Bangalore ( also new volunteers on board from Bangalore) are in preparation towards an Action Hero Forum that brings together college students in Bangalore. The event will be hosted on Saturday 9th of July at the Goethe Institute, Bangalore. Get in touch if you wish to be involved.

Action Hero Emma Holten, Denmark experienced ‘revenge pornography’ , a term she and we in solidarity challenge. No excuse, no ‘revenge’, no justification for sexual violence. Emma Holten’s naked photographs had been stolen from her and released on the internet. It took a couple of years, but here’s how Action Hero Emma responded. Emma also wrote about risk, rights and blame in solidarity with I Never Ask For It, an excerpt we share here: "Most women who have suffered sexually motivated or gender-based violence, consent-violation, or harassment have heard the same questions. What were you wearing? What did you do? Why were you out that late at night? Why did you have that on your computer in the first place? And the list goes on. All these questions have the same goal: to assess the position victims put themselves in that facilitated abuse. If it is revealed that a woman was walking home alone at the time of an attack, for example, the act of walking home alone is defined as risky behaviour. This defines “running a risk” as the direct cause of violence or harassment. But what does this definition of risk actually entail for our views on victim and perpetrator? " - Emma Holten

Action Heroe Berylne from Cameroon and Action Hero Krie1979 from Hinganghat send in their garment testimonials towards the I Never Ask For It mission. 204 Action Heroes have contributed testimonials of clothing. The campaign calls for 10,000 garments. Each garment is witness, memory and voice to your experience of sexual violence or gender based violence. Do get in touch if you wish to send the garment you wore when you experienced any form of sexual or gender based violence. All garments will be installed in sites of public significance.

25th September until 1st October , 2016 marks I Never Ask For It Week.

Allies and Action Heroes are invited to be part of this process. Step in. Co Create. Unite. This is an invitation to individuals, community leaders, collectives and organisations globally. Step in if you recognise victim blame. Step in if ending justification, excuses, blame, shame, guilt speak to you. No excuse for sexual or gender based violence. I Never Ask For It.
