Dear Editor, Regarding the faith-based column "Christian Worldview Revisited,” Pastor Link abuses his privilege. This is not the place to advance political views disguised as the teachings of the Bible. As an independent voter, I am highly in favor of some principles of the Republican party and likewise am in favor of some of the principles of the Democratic party (hence my self-proclaimed independence).

In a time when we should be filled with thanksgiving, some people around the world are suffering great calamities. We send up prayers for those who have lost loved ones and homes. Whittington's Jerky is proud to sponsor these talented young adults. The sport of rodeo requires dedication, hard work, commitment, good attitude, and the ability to shake yourself off and get back up and do it again. They all have to team up with a horse and either chase a calf down, tie a goat up, rope a steer, cut a calf out of a herd or go amazingly fast through barrels and poles, all the while keeping their grades up in high school so they can continue their passion.
