Vernon Edwin Schmidt, 99, peacefully went to be with the Lord at his home surrounded by his loving family on March 20, 2013. He was born January 16, 1914 seven miles west of Blanco on Crabapple Creek Rd. Vernon lived and worked in and around Blanco all of his life.
