Access new modeling capabilities required to complete offshore wind farms and subsea transmission cable projects. This add-on module allows to determine steady state temperature and ampacity for the most common submarine installations: cables in J-tubes, cables immersed in water, cables installed on seabed and cables buried in the silt.
Evaluate load relief projects using battery energy storage systems as well as dispatchable generation. This new module literally turns weeks of engineering into minutes of processing by optimizing energy storage systems as well as dispatchable inverter-based generators to mitigate capacity problems on strategic grid assets.
Seamlessly integrate your CYME Software to external data systems and refine your as-built planning model with forecast or telemetry data to support increasingly complex system planning and operation processes. The CYME Dynamic Data Pull module is a highly adaptable plugin environment that brings time-varying data at your fingertips.
Perform unprecedented power flow, short circuit and time-series analyses on islanded and grid-connected microgrids. This new module lifts the requirement for a source equivalent or swing generator to exist in any connectivity model, allows detailed modeling of microgrid-forming distributed energy resources and features a customizable load shedding and curtailing algorithm for islanded simulations.
We're excited to announce CYMCAP power cable ampacity software version 9.0, the latest addition to our Brightlayer Utilities suite. It enhances our software portfolio by introducing innovative tools that empower engineers with new modeling capabilities for cable projects requiring precise ampacity calculations in complex cable installations.
The CYMCAP power cable ampacity software version 9.0 now includes a 3D modeling add-on module. This module allows for three-dimensional thermal analysis for non-standard cable geometries and complex crossings, often present in congested areas. Additionally, it introduces an Advanced tunnel modeling module for steady-state ampacity calculations in ventilated tunnels having multiple dissimilar cables installed in random geometric arrangements.
Climate change is reshaping the energy landscape and utilities are at the forefront, balancing increased renewable integration with the need for a resilient, reliable grid, all while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Don't face these changes in isolation. Join us for the 2024 CYME Users Group Meeting where you will have the opportunity to meet with CYME technical experts, network with other superusers and contribute your input into future software enhancements.
Available exclusively for CYME users and key guests, this event will be held June 17th-21st, 2024 in Montreal. Attendees have the option of joining us for our standard conference, held Tuesday through Thursday or to join for additional training on Monday and Friday. PDH credits will be available for qualifying sessions on request to cyme...@eaton.com
Driven by evolving energy landscape, CYME solutions, part of the Brightlayer Utilities suite, continue to expand the capability of the best-in-class power system analysis software with the release of CYME 9.2, providing utilities with an end-to-end grid planning solution supporting their efforts towards the ambitious clean energy goals of the 21st century.
