Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter video game made by DICE and sold by Electronic Arts. This is the 16th game in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 22, 2020. The game generally received positive reviews from critics.

The game is played on a server that can hold up to 64 players simultaneously. There is no single-player mode, though. Each server has three different modes: Team Death Match, Conquest, and Domination.

Team Deathmatch has a simple goal: kill as many other players as possible while staying alive. There are no goals here. Just kill everyone else on your team, or kill them all before they kill you, or both.

Battlefield 2042 is not dead yet. In fact, the game is played by over 80,000 active players monthly and highest concurrent players peaked at around 350,000 since its released on November 19, 2021 across all platforms.

This is the sixthteen Battlefield Installment since its initial release on 2002 and this game is still rocking the first person shooter category. It is safe to say that Battlefield 2042 is still popular up to this date.

To my knowledge, It's not a bug. The problem is caused by admins of some servers faking the playercounts of their servers to make them look full so that people would join. Not much can be done about that.

Is there a way to report this practice or contact the ADMIN of the server? This morning, the entire list is showing these false player counts. It's taking forever to find a server that is actually reporting the correct player count...

1. I first downloaded and allowed installation of the Google Chrome add-on "Battlelog BF4 Player Count Checker" (I found it ny searching it on Google).

2. I then restarted my computer (automatically updates/resets BF4 and Google Chrome).

3. Now (and from now on) I open the Battlelog page in Google Chrome = Goto "battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/" and login using your EA login/password.

4. I entered my filter under "Search for servers" and the list immediately showed which servers were spoofed and the true number of players.

5. Select a server and press "Join server" to play it.

This extension allows Battlelog users to see the actual player counts on Battlefield 4 servers. After installing the extension, login to Battlelog, view the server list, click a server, and you'll see the true player count listed on the right side of the screen. The extension will activate automatically when you login to Battlelog.Currently, this is only compatible with Battlefield 4.

The other myth about Battlefield is that the traditional class system leads to more teamplay because every player knows what their specific role is, and that 10 separate Specialists who can use whatever secondary gadgets they want will kill teamwork. And yet one of the most prominent memes in the community is how often kill-hungry medics will simply walk over their downed teammates in pursuit of the enemy rather than perform their duties and revive their allies. Another is how difficult it is to get Support players to drop their ammo boxes, when that is literally the only team-related task they ever need to perform.

In tandem with the new flexibility of the Specialist system, creating custom loadouts and coming up with novel combinations of weapons and gadgets is straight-up fun. Because we had every weapon, gadget, and Specialist unlocked from the get-go for the review event I attended, I was able to see the full breadth of options that 2042 offers at launch, and I still feel like I barely scratched the surface.

The second piece of the Battlefield 2042 triptych is Hazard Zone, a new squad-based mode that attempts to deliver the essence of a battle royale experience without actually being a battle royale game. Stuck somewhere between Hunt: Showdown and Escape From Tarkov, Hazard Zone succeeds in providing a mode in a Battlefield game that truly requires teamwork, but it fails in presenting any real long-term stakes to keep players invested.

While the build of the game I played for review (which is the same as the early access build, which is even less updated than the full release build) fixed most of the bugs from the open beta, I still encountered a few issues. Sometimes, my character seemingly desynced, resulting in me not being able to aim down the sights or have any of my bullets register. A bug that prevented players from being able to revive downed teammates also seemed fairly common among the reviewers. There was also a strange bug that made players way out in the distance look like they were doing a cactuar impression when running.

It is easy to see why Battlefield 6 fans are excited about the news, as the franchise has prided itself on providing large scale battles since its original debut. More players means more destruction, vehicles, and action in every multiplayer match, and it is hard not to think about the excitement that could come from having so much going on during every game. However, while it is easy to be hyped about the potential that comes from a higher player count, past Battlefield games have proven that bigger is not always better.

At the same time, maps being too large would be a major issue, as one of the biggest criticisms of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5 is their overly large map design. Many locations feel like they have no sense of flow, with huge fields full of empty space and a lack of interesting areas inside some of the maps. Though these play spaces were bigger than the ones seen in Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, they also lacked variety and memorable locations to fight through. With the maps in recent Battlefield games lacking a sense of direction, simply increasing the size will not work.

- Every single trophy aside from Hazard zone and multiplayer specific can be done on co-op mode against bots. These are trophies like perform 20 melee kills in one round or kill 50 enemies in vehicle trophies etc. Or the specialist specific trophies can all be done in co-op against bots. The quad-kill while defending can be annoying but its definitely possible with a vehicle blast or C5 explosions

- T1 weapon: kills against AI bots in Hazard Zone count towards progress T1 and lower. But you can always get kills in co-op till T3 against bots, and from T2 and T1 you can kill bots in Hazard zone that count towards weapon progress

- Clean exist requires you to flawless extract, but I fulfilled the requirement 4 times and it only granted me the trophy doing it for the 5th time. I can guarantee you nobody died during my extractions 4 times but none counted

- the 25 extractions only count if you extract inside the airplane ALIVE. So not outside! Also dying inside airplane does not grant you progress! You being outside and your teammate extracts in the airplane does not grant you progress. It gives you +1 extraction but it doesnt progress towards trophy

the only thing I'll say disagreeing with the post owner is to not grind your t1s (guns, specialist and gadget) on hz matches. regularly we get modes on portal with bots, meaning you can easily get 70+ kills each game. If you're looking to ditch this game asap this is the fastest way. however, if you don't mind playing, just play breakthrough matches; you can easily finish with 30+ kills and (depending on what specialist you're playing) progress a lot towards their t1.

- I've also pulled a scumbag move where if you jump into the heli right when the timer ticks down to about 1-2 seconds and you die on the plane, it will say Mission Accomplished on the top in blue. I've had 3 games where this was the case (that said, I've also had it where there was one match where I did this and it said mission failed so it's a bit wonky).

The second point is hail-mary where if your teammates are done, ditch them and just get on the heli as the timer counts to 0, when you get downed you'll have a little bit of an invulnerability where they can't execute you but the game will finish and may give you the win.

Also recommend you start using smoke with the extra grenades upgrade as it's basically a game changer to cross open ground (especially to get to the heli when it's very open on say Hourglass the desert map). If not that, the smoke grenade launcher seems to have a much bigger radius but I preferred running the CG M5 Rocket launcher and AK-24.
