Emerson Writes Program

Emerson Writes is a creative writing workshop at Emerson. It is a free opportunity for BPS students to come to a college, sit in a college classroom, and work closely with trained instructors in a low-pressure environment.
Over the course of 12 Saturdays, students will work on creative writing projects that can be used in college portfolios.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate and will be encouraged to use their experience on resumes and college applications.

Parents and guardians are invited to two information sessions hosted by Emerson's Office of Admission on the first and last Saturdays. The sessions will go over the college application process, with information relevant to parents/guardians of 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.

Emerson Writes is a twelve-week program that runs from October 22nd to February 18th with a final showcase in March. The classes take place on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and student will be fed lunch.
