The
American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Research Foundation is offering 10
summer fellowship awards of $5,000 each to underrepresented minority (URM) students who are interested in digestive disease and nutrition-related research.
Highly qualified students will have the opportunity to work with top investigators in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. The award incudes a
stipend to offset housing and travel costs.
Eligibility
Eligible candidates include African Americans, Hispanic/Latino Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives and Natives of U.S. Pacific Islands who are undergraduates
or medical school students at accredited U.S. institutions. Candidates must plan on performing eight to 10 weeks of research related to digestive diseases or nutrition during the summer of 2013, and may not hold similar salary support awards from other agencies.
