HOPELINE

SUMMER JOB REGISTRATION: DO NOT FORGET TO REGISTER!  
2009 HOPELINE INFORMATION

Mark your calendar and do not forget to register with the Hopeline to work through the Boston Youth Fund during the summer of 2009! All applicants must be residents of Boston and be between the ages of 15 and 17 years old. You must turn 15 on or before Jul 5, 2009 and cannot turn 18 on or before Aug 14, 2009.

Registering with the Hopeline does NOT guarantee a summer job.

R.O.C.K. IT!!!

Boston R.O.C.K. It Launch Into Summer: Check out available opportunities for Summer 2009 at the Strand Theatre on Feb 17, 11am-1pm. Youth ages 9-14 and their families are welcome to come have some fun! See special guests and a celebrity MC, watch a screening of the 2008 Celtics DVD, see special performances, and receive a gift bag. Strand Theatre, 543 Columbia Road, Dorchester. BCYF VACATION

Check Out What Boston Centers for Youth and Families Has to Offer Over February Break!: Participate in one of the many programs and activities being offered by BCYF and the Recreation Department during February School Vacation. ABCD SUMMER JOBS

ABCD SUMMERWORKS: ABCD Summerworks will begin taking applications for their summer jobs program "Summerworks" beginning Feb 17 through the rest of the school year at their neighborhood ABCD offices. Youth must be Boston residents, income eligible and between the ages of 14-21. To find a list of neighborhood offices to drop off an application and to learn more about the program, go to www.summerworks.net


MAYOR'S YOUTH COUNCIL

Use Your Time Over February Vacation to Apply for the 2009-10 Mayor's Youth Council!: Are you a high school sophomore or junior who wants to make a difference in your community? HEALTH KICK 2009 WITH BCYF

Health Kick 2009: The New England Revolution, BCYF and Madison Park Community Center present "Health Kick 2009" on Feb 21, 1-3pm. This event will include all kinds of free activities, health-related information and screenings. Take photographs and get autographs from your favorite Revolution Soccer Players. HOPELINE AT  THE ZOO

Zoo Teen Hopeline Registration Open House: Join the Franklin Park Zoo at the ECO Center on Feb 18, 11am-3pm to pick up summer job applications from the Zoo, Aquarium, and other organizations. Also, use the computers in the ECO Center to register for the HOPELINE Summer jobs program. 617-989-3746

ACCESS Center for College Affordability: ACCESS is offering free financial aid application assistance over February Vacation! ACCESS can help you fill out your FAFSA and CSS Profile.
