The following secrets are breaking plist parsing, at least for me on
Lion:

http://secrets.blacktree.com/edit?id=37780

> "64 Bit" = arch=x86_64;

shouldn’t include quotes around 64 Bit.

http://secrets.blacktree.com/edit?id=39761 shouldn’t have quotes in
Values at all.

and http://secrets.blacktree.com/edit?id=39762 shouldn’t have quotes
in Values either.

I don’t have edit privs for any of these or I’d fix them myself. Can
someone update these secrets to get updating working for everyone
again?

Fixed. Thanks for finding a solution :)

These were still "the old way" on the site such am not sure what
Nicholas referred to as "fixed" :O

Have just updated the site entries to match Christopher's feedback. I
don't have the Quinn app, so if you do, please update Secrets and
verify the changes.

thanks!

I’m still having two issues when I update:

1. 7/27/11 8:31:50.247 PM System Preferences: error Unexpected
character 6 at line 1 64 Bit = "arch=x86_64";
is because of the quotes in http://secrets.blacktree.com/edit?id=37780

2. 7/27/11 8:31:50.264 PM System Preferences: error Unexpected
character B at line 1 Basic
Scientific
Programmer
is because the values for http://secrets.blacktree.com/edit?id=164761
are messed up.

The Quinn ones look good though, thanks!

The Calculator Secret has been fixed (verified).

The other SystemConfiguration secrets have not been fixed; we're
looking further into why. Examples: 64 bit kernel or the Automount
disk utility secrets.

For now, if you want to change kernel, recommend this support page:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3773

Will follow up once the above are addressed!

I was just able to update Secrets successfully on my machine (first
time in months!), so I think everything looks good. Thanks so much!
