iTunes 11.0.1 - sure wish I had the old iTunes minimizer capability back

I typically keep iTunes up on-screen in its "mini-player" configuration. I still do this under iTunes 11.0.1, but it forces the user minimize and expand to the fuller screen version using a different method that I'm finding counter intuitive  and painfully placed on the fuller screen's upper right hand corner.  Not sure if this default iTunes 11.0.1 condition can be reconfigured to the previous iTunes mini-player method using a Secret-like user option?  It would "be nice" to have this functionality back...
