Newbie Questions - Duplicated "Hits", Yellow vs. Gray Dots

When I invoke QS, I typically end up with a list containing results
that are duplicated, one right after another. What am I doing wrong.

On top of that, some of the results have a yellowish dot next to them,
rather than a gray dot. What does that mean?

Check you Catalog preferences and see if “Recent Objects” is checked. I think that’s what was causing this for me.

No idea. Which interface are you using?

I don’t know. I just see various shades of gray dots with that interface. Is it only for a particular type of item?
