What does it stall on? If it's slow to appear or when searching, it's probably Quicksilver itself. Wiping out the cache folders might help.
If it's slow in showing the actions when you tab to the second pane, it's probably a plug-in. I glanced at the source for the 1Password module and it isn't doing the type of thing that would cause such a delay, so I would look elsewhere if you think it's a plug-in.

It should be just like restoring any other file/folder. The only thing that might be difficult is knowing which files and folders to go get for a particular application (but that's pretty well documented for Quicksilver at this point).
