I just thought I'd share my knowledge...
For anybody wanting to make triggers out of your automator workflows

(I have one that rotates the selected images right / left, one that
zips the selected files etc.)

There's one thing that needs to be changed to get your workflows to
work with a trigger.

You need to open your workflow in automator, and add 'get selected
finder items' to the top of your workflow.
Once that's done, everything will work fine :)

thanks for the advice but you did not mention if there are any
specific plugins or not to make workflows from automator work with
quicksilver. do you just invoke a normal automator applet, workflow
file, etc?

Sorry,
I was really just pointing out that you need to change the workflow if
you want to set it up as a trigger.

To run workflows, you'd usually drill down to your workflows folder (~/
Library/Workflows/), select your required workflow and then tab ->
'execute workflow'.

It's exactly the same for setting up a trigger, except the change to
the workflow itself.
