Is it possible that it’s coming up, but you just can’t see it?
That is exactly what's happening. It reappears when LO is closed.

What version of macOS and Quicksilver are you on?

MacOS 10.14.3; QS v. 1.5.6. QS Crashes a every week at least once. I have not been able to figure out why it's happening. I do usually send crash reports.

Does it not appear in the space where LibreOffice is running, or does it
not appear anywhere?

QS does not appear in any space until LO is closed.

I've noticed that QS becomes unresponsive to its activation command once
LibreOffice has been loaded. I use Mission Control and Spaces with QS set
to show up in any and all of them, with LO loaded into a dedicated space,
at which time QS does not appear. When QS crashes, which is frequent, that
also makes it, obviously, so it doesn't respond to its activation command,
but then, when I double click it's icon in /Applications, it, along with a
crash report box, loads. When LO is loaded, double clicking the QS app icon
does nothing: Quicksilver acts as if it's not loaded but it must be,
because after closing LO, QS reappears. Sorry for the verbosity. Any ideas
would be appreciated.

Is it possible that it’s coming up, but you just can’t see it? I
assume LibreOffice isn’t using standard macOS UI code, so the window
layering might be confused.

The interface you’re using could also make a difference. You might try
different interfaces in QS to see if that helps. (Not as a permanent
switch, but just to troubleshoot.) Some of them might not appear above
full screen apps.

What version of macOS and Quicksilver are you on? Crashes are pretty
rare with the latest version.

So are you able to use it (by typing things and running actions), but
you just can’t see what you’re doing?

OK, that explains a lot. That version had a bug in the update system
that caused a crash. So once a week, when it checks for updates…

The current version is 1.6.0. Download it manually from
https://qsapp.com/ and give that a try.

Well, I don’t know what to make of that. Could it be taking over the
shortcut you use to activate QS?

Got 1.6.0. Made no difference to the disappearing act QS does in the presence of LibreOffice. Seems part of how LO handles screen real estate, messes with QS. Like before, it's still there because it shows right up after closing LO.

I didn’t think it would, but it should prevent the weekly crashes.

Yeah, there probably isn’t much QS can do about that.

Much of value in getting the newer version pointed out to me. Thanks, Rob.
