Quicksilver today just stopped working (not invoking, but running the
app itself). When trying to launch it I immediately get the error
message "The application Quicksilver has quit unexpectedly."

Has anybody experienced this and solved this? I re-downloaded and
reinstalled QS and it still is not working. I am running OSX 10.5.8
(Leopard) and QS B54.

I have had the exact same issue (and same system). I do know before
this issue I had some very bad crashes in Calc/Open Office with me
copying large amounts of information of a spreadsheet. I was running
the Clipboard history module (my main use thus far to use QS).
Methinks that was the main reason it went hellfire caput in the first
place. But it still hasn't reloaded since. Please help! :-)

Okay, I posted earlier (don't see it up yet) but have the same issues.
It was indeed the large clipboard. So I followed the FAQ about
removing the Shelves folder (it had 1000MB file) and it started up
again! Woohoo. Thanks! :-)

Nice! Thanks so much. I wasn't able to find anything about this in
the FAQ, even after I read your post, but I did manage to find the
Shelves folder under Library/App Support/QS, and deleting its contents
allowed QS to launch finally. Beautiful! Although now I'm quite used
to using Spotlight at this point.

What is the deal with this by the way? Why does this need to be done
manually? And is there a way of preventing it?

Thanks for this. I too found that removing the Shelves folder cleared
all. The clipboard feature has not been very stable for me thus far
anyway. Is this a shared experience?

quicksilver has a lot of beta unstable modules so some times triggers
don't work properly or some times it crashes many times. In my
situation it immediately crashes when I tried to install the airport
module SO what I did is

* Drag quicksilver from application to AppZapper
* Check every thing except the application itself
* now when you run the app its as good as new because it deleted the
plist, Caches & quicksilver folder from library/apple support

Fortunately relying on my own made me think in staid of asking
questions For example in the trigger There is no way in the newest
release you can't customize a trigger
current selection + dictionary!!! if you type current selection then
you go to the next block selecting an action you will not find
dictionary in fact if you type dictionary it will give you the closest
name to the word dictionary.

You don't need custom trigger for dictionary its as simple as pressing
3 letters!
Just press ' then type your word or paste your word then go to the
next block & type look up in dictionary. If you just type loo! it will
suggest look up in dictionary.

So its that simple maybe the previous needed some extra things maybe
crashed more often but The latest one is Great only problem I found
was a simple instruction to install rubygem for tweet script for
twitter.

but doing things manually is Great for example some guys made custom
triggers for clipboard history!!!! why It already has a trigger CMD+L
while quicksilver is active. You can press from 1 to X or click on the
object then press CMD+C. GO to where ever you want to paste & press CMD
+V.

So why make custom trigger for an easy thing.
