Do you also experience, that the comma trick does not work anymore?

works for me.

What's your setup, (command trigger, plugins, OS, what are you searching for)

You could try clearing your caches:

Quite QS
Move the following folders to your desktop:
a) ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/
b) ~/Library/Preferences/com.blacktree.Quicksilver.plist
c) ~/Library/Caches/Quicksilver/
Restart QS

It'll reset QS 'till you move the folders back, but it's only to check it if works.

nope.

A clean install still has the same issue.

I dont know if its related, but some strings also dont seem to be
"translated"
E.g. in preferences -> Command Interface:
QSPrimerInterfaceController
QSBezelInterfaceController

I have exactly the same problem: no comma trick, and the preferences -
> catalog list is full of "QSPresetSomething" kind of stuff (instead
of their normal names, like "Home", "Dock", etc).

@Patrick, are you on Snow Leopard too?

In fact, all my "actions" are showing up weird, like "FileOpenAction"
instead of "Open" when i choose an application to launch.

Again, can you answer the questions I made 2 posts ago and we may be
able to single where the problem is.

Clean install, no plugins, no nothing, on Snow Leopard (10.6.2). No
matter what I search for, the comma trick just doesn't work. For
documents, apps, anything. But there's a bigger issue. The ACTIONS are
completely wrong, they show up as some kind of canonical name instead
of the usual name (FileOpenAction instead of "Open", etc. Also
QSPresetBlahBlah instead "Home", "User", etc in the preferences-
>catalog section).

I've done this already and the problem persists.

Just changed my system's language to French and I have the problem.

Looks like this is a problem with everything except English (UK or US).
It could be a build issue or a problem with the code, I'll try and have a look at it.

This should be fixed - I've upped a new build of b58 to github.

Sorry for any problems! :)

Indeed, thanks a lot for the quick fix.
For the record, my Mac OS is set to English language, but it didn't
work properly, so there's something else in addition to language.

I have the same problem:
- comma trick not working
- strange syntax in commands

Besides the comma trick also the "." trick is not workin. It shows
".Trash" instead of the text editing box.

My system language is English

Did a clean install etc, but no success sofar.

Would really like this to work :)

We're looking into this. What keyboard/layout do you use?

I'm posting this here since I'm using the new version that came from
this thread that I got from Patrick.
I thought it was working just fine (it does, for a while) but then I
noticed that after a using Quicksilver for a while, it's gone. Looking
at console, I can see that it segfaults after a while. I've looked at
the crash reports folder, and *all* the quicksilver crashes that show
up there (more than 10) are from this latest version.

Here's part of the report (I can attach the whole file if it will
help):

OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6.2 (10C540)
Report Version: 6

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x00000000e3c11000
Crashed Thread: 6

Application Specific Information:
objc_msgSend() selector name: release

Just to clarify - latest version is uploaded to Github as well.

Looks like it's a bug in the memory. Could have come about from any of the code changes we've made.

To help us out, it'd be good if you can find out when it's happening, and out of the list of changed things (see below) which - if any you use. (e.g. single tap command etc.)

Fix droplets by using the 10.5+ NSConnection vending method
Object context menus improved
Don't show object descriptions in the result window if there's not enough room (rows <34px high)
Recent Items made Snow Leopard compatible
Text fields only allow plain text
Fix bug creating an indexSet from the UI Access plugin
Fixed bug #35 - Do Not Open At Login Action now working
Fix bug #34
Fixed relaunch action for fussy apps that did not quit straight away
Commented out the loc - locator, path (for bundles) NSLog
Update score ranking code
Issue #39 (bug 262) Fix: Incorrect display of Websearch
Turn on a couple release optimizations
Fix issues 26, 47, 57 and 61
Fixed single/double tap Modifier Key Activation
