extra scripts plugin 2012-04-25

a new extra scripts plugin was implemented 04-25. since that time using quicksilver to shut down will not work. the action I get is open with - what is the correct action. this has worked for me for years, now not so much

You want to make sure the 'Run' (applescript) action is above the 'open with...' action in the actions preferences. If you go into the preferences you can drag the action up in the list to give it a higher priority.

a new version of extra scripts, 1.0.1, installed, Run became available again with no alterations by me

We had forgotten to add the 'executable (+x) flag to the scripts. I released version 1.0.1 yesterday which fixed this, hence why it's now working!

updated again this morning and relaunched but still no sign of the Get IP action that used to show current ip address in Large Text, I was under the impression that the Extra scripts plugin enabled this ?

Hi Ian, you're right about the Get IP script.

This has been removed from the Extra Scripts plugin, and will be included in a new 'Networking' plugin which we hope to release soon. In the meantime, you can download the Get IP script and place it in your ~/Library/Scripts folder

I can wait for the new plugin, i don't use it too often but just happened to need it over the weekend and was scratching my head wondering if i had done something !
