There was a previous thread on this here which has closed due to no recent activity.

I actually worked a bit more on this plugin around a year ago when Transmit 4 was released. I managed to get a few things working, but not everything before my Transmit 7 day trial ran out!
I was hoping I'd be able to find the funds to purchase Transmit v4, but it hasn't been the case :(

There's a download link[1] (below) to the 'incomplete' plugin. The fixes include: correct displaying of favourites and the 'upload to site...' action now works correctly.
The things that don't work are the 'open url' action (i.e. open the favourite in transmit) — a bit of a show stopper — and I'd also like to add a 'mount' action that will enable you to mount a favourite in finder.

I've pretty much sorted how both these things will be done (I've got the code formulated), but just can't test it. Cyberduck is now my FTP app (unfortunately!) :(

Perhaps someone with Transmit 4 could test the bits I've said that are working with the latest version of Transmit (I think it's 4.1.6 now), or even better: be a guinea pig for my tests (loan a VNC'ed Mac/Transmit copy?)

P.S. sorry to those I've cc'ed into this if you've received the email twice/unwanted. You all posted in the original thread so I thought it'd be nice to keep you in the loop :)

The following work perfectly:

  • Adds Transmit favorites to catalog
  • An upload action allows sending files to favorites or their sidebar links

Does “Favorites contain links to all the remote sidebar locations” refer to mounted servers? I wasn’t quite sure how to test this.

Feature consideration: Allow typed urls via “.” to open in Transmit (e.g. “ftp://user:PasswordI...@site.com:21” > “Open in Transmit”)

Perhaps a bug: “Object” > “Upload to Transmit” does successfully upload the file; however, Transmit exits it’s file explorer immediately after the download is finished, and returns back to the favorites menu. Maintaining the servers file explorer window would be a great convenience.
