I'm compiling a list of 3rd party apps and their 10.11 readiness, curious on QS's status ??  Running 1.3.0 (b 4012)

I upgraded as soon as the installer hit the App Store yesterday.  So far QuickSilver seems to work fine, but I don't use it as heavily as some do.

Just upgraded. It seems the command line tool is broken. It’s been uninstalled and QS warned me about that at startup. I tried reinstalling it but it fails silently.

Confirmed.  You meant the terminal plugin, right?

Actually I also noticed that QS will crash fairly regularly if I just hit '.' for plain text and start typing.

I meant the Command Line Tool plugin, not terminal (haven’t tried Terminal).

Fixed it a while ago and had it awaiting review. Since El Capitan is out
now, I went ahead and released it.

There were only two known issues. One was an OS bug that Apple fixed in
one of the early betas. The other was fixed in 1.3.1, which was released
last night.

Ditto.  i can also make QS crash very reliably by entering "."

Has anyone figured this out?  Since El Capitan, QS crashes on = or . or anything text related.

The text entry problem has been plaguing me for months, long before 10.11.
For me, it's usually when I'm re-accessing text that I've already input.

I can reproduce it easily, but what I see in the debugger doesn’t help
much. I think it’s an OS bug, but I’m not sure how to prove that in
order to file a report. Any help from experienced Cocoa people would be
appreciated.

FYI, I don't think I have this problem. I installed 10.11 the first day and I know I've used = to do calculations a lot.

Unless I'm missing something critical in how to replicate this I've never experienced it either and I both use "." so often I changed my shortcut to "⌘." so that putting it into text mode is as easy as possible and switched to El Capitan as soon as the first beta was released.

Have you guys tried logging into Guest to see if it happens on your machines with effectively a clean install of QS - i.e. default settings and no plugins?

Try it in Primer. As detailed on the GitHub issue, it only affects a few interfaces (but one of them is the default).

I switched the appearance to Bezel and the problem disappeared.
