Hi all,

Just got a MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) from work and installed QS but whenever I try to install a plugin, I get the following message:

Failed to Extract Plugin

There was a problem extracting the QSPkg.
The file is most likely corrupt.

So far I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the problem isn't fixed.

Any ideas? Thank you for your help!

This appears to be an issue with a recent update to the  ‘Email Support’ Plugin. For the time being, you can try disabling it and any other ‘mail’ plugins you have enabled from the Quicksilver Plugins Preference Pane:

This should make the issue go away. We will have an updated Gmail plugin and E-mail support plugin released soon, which should fix this issue permanently.

It's not the case. Today Quicksilver offered to update the plugins I use and all of them failed to install with the same error as OP.
I tried to download them from the website (https://qsapp.com/plugins.php) and installing them manually - after doubleclicking a .qspkg and selection "Install", Quicksilver indicates "The file is most likely corrupt" for all the plugins I tried (list below). Please not I do not use the email support plugin.

Calculator Plugin 2.3.0.qspkg
File Compression Plugin 1.8.0.qspkg
Path Finder Plugin 1.2.0.qspkg
Contacts Plugin 2.3.0.qspkg
Keychain Plugin 1.2.0.qspkg
Safari Plugin 2.5.0.qspkg
FaceTime Plugin 1.2.0.qspkg
Networking Plugin 1.4.1.qspkg

Regards,

WJ

This issue should now have been fixed. Please try re-checking for updates via Quicksilver and re-downloading the plugins.
