Shelf and Clipboard appear when I exit any program, unwanted!

For some reason, every time I exit any application (either through the
menu or Command+Q) Shelf and Clipboard pop up right after. It's really
annoying, especially since I sometimes have sensitive information on
them and might not want nearby people to see.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? I installed the newest version
of Quicksilver and there was no problem for a few days but the
problem's back.

Yeah, we've kinda been through this the last few weeks here in the
forum. No one has really come up with a satisfactory answer, but a lot
of people have this. Mine did it for a while but after a couple weeks
using ß57, it just seemed to stop and work normally. So dunno... I'm
sure it will be looked at by our capable programmers in the next
release. I think QS has a mind of its own.

It's on my todo list for 2010 - look into the clipboard and overhaul it, but the first part of '10 is now booked up for me so it's gonna be a long time :(

My solution was to drag the clipboard window to the side of the screen, so that is slides away (try it and you'll see)
From there, you can get it to pop up using the usual triggers, or mouse over that area on the screen (similar to OS X's hot corners)

It solved the problem for me, and hopefully it will for you.

Thanks, Patrick. That's how I use it as well. I still think it's the
best multiclipboard out there. I also have a trigger set for the
shelf, which btw also works like a drawer. I can't wait to see what
cool ideas you come up with when you have the time. Just don't change
too much. I love the clipboard in QS.

I can’t get it to dock to a side of the screen. Is this a ß57 thing?

Don't try to tell me a thing is important to you if the whole of your “support” entails forcing others to spend time and money on it.

Rob, if you drag the clipboard window to the edge of the screen (right
or left) so that it intersects with the edge of the screen, when you
let go, it should retract like a drawer. Then the next time you move
the mouse to that area of that edge of the screen, it should slide
out.

Works for me with b57 and b54

My experience of shelf/clipboard and β57 is that both dock fine but don't reappear when I mouse over the edge of the screen. I tried setting triggers to show both, then used BetterTouchTool so tapping a corner of the trackpad triggered the triggers but ended up going back to β54. Even though with β54 I can't get preferences or triggers to show. I know that's normal for preferences but I believe not for triggers. The acronym "YMMV" was used during the 1Password plugin discussion. Strikes me under SL "YQSMV" would also seem to be accurate. Sigh.

I know what’s supposed to happen. It’s just not happening. Not a big deal, I was just curious.
