I just upgraded an old Mavericks iMac to Yosemite and now I can't get the Quicksilver menu bar icon to appear and my QS shortcuts aren't working.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still nothing.

UPDATE - QS finally appeared in the dock after 5 minutes (but still not in the menu bar), and when I go to Preferences all I get is the Preferences window with "General" but nothing showing inside in terms of options.

Any suggestions please?

Is it not running, or just showing the Dock icon instead of the menu bar icon?

The first thing I’d do is make sure you have the latest version (1.6.0). The updater occasionally breaks, so you might have been on a very old version that doesn’t work on Yosemite.

I do have v1.6, yes, downloaded and reinstalled fresh.

All I get is the icon in the dock.  Activity Monitor shows it's running.

And as I said, Preferences shows just a blank window (same for Guide, Catalog and Plug-ins - Triggers is greyed out).

I can’t remember off the top of my head, but the download page says the latest is for 10.12 or later. So, you probably need to go back a version or two.

Let us know which one ends up working and I’ll update the archives page and release notes.

Thanks, I didn't see anything about compatibility on 1.6 when I downloaded it, I must have missed it.  But I tried 1.5.7 and it's all good now.  (I don't know if 1.5.8 or .9 would have worked)
