I've recently reinstalled Leopard and patched it up to 10.5.2. In the
process of importing my QuickSilver preferences, something went wrong
and QuickSilver went haywire, so I had to remove all of QS's pref
files and start from scratch. I just now to everything back to exactly
the way I had it, triggers and shelf and all, except for one thing:
the "Current Web Page" action. I want to be able to make a trigger for
"Current Web Page > Open URL With... > Camino", but QuickSilver will not
recognize "Current Web Page".

This has me really confused. I've looked all over the preferences for
this. The "Open URL With..." action works just fine. I have advanced
features enabled in the preferences. I've looked through the actions
menu and the plugins menu, but nothing seems relevant at all.

How do I get this action to work again?

Thanks.

Did you enable proxy objects in the catalogue?

I finally have Leopard (as well a a new macbook pro which is great).
So far my QS configuration is basically working for me. I'd like to
make a comprehensive list of what works and doesn't work with QS 3815
on Leopard. I'm not interested in things that a broken in Tiger and
still broken in Leopard. I'll begin with the following list. Please
add to it things you have actual experience with. If something doesn't
work, briefly explain it as I have done here. I'll collate it all to a
list, maintain it and post it on the group page.

Howard

=Work
Apple Address Book Module
Apple Mail Module
Calculator Module
Clipboard Module
HotKey Triggers
Mouse Triggers
Safari Module
Shelf Module
Web Search Module
iPhoto Module
iTunes Module

=Don't Work
Services Menu Module - makes qs unstable, crash
User Accounts Module - doesn't catalog accounts
Dictionary Module - doesn't send words to Dictionary

=Interfaces
I've only used Bezel. There was email about Flashlight. If you use
the others please let me know.

Bezel Interface - works
Cube Interface
Flashlight Interface - shows a grey instead of blue
Menu Interface
Mini Interface
Primer Interface
Window Interface

I'll add that the Fumo interface has been working flawlessly for me on
Leopard.

No one is using any other plugin on Leopard?

The File Compression module doesn't work either. I suppose this is
because Leopard replaced BOMArchive Helper.app with Archive
Utility.app.

Here's some notes about Ankur's Build, I'll probably revert to the
official build someday... I tend to switch between the two.

=Doesn''t Work
File tagging - So I hear, haven't tried personally though I kinda miss
it
Dictionary Module - doesn't send words to Dictionary (But action
"Define with dict.org" works properly)
Constellation - I just made a post about it, but it crashes upon
showing some radial menus. Unstable
Mouse Triggers - I can't seem to make a screen side-based trigger w/o
crashing

=Does Work
Services Menu Module - Has been working fine for me so far
Most of the basic plugins: address book, mail, etc.
iTunes - but I know there are probably some issues, but I don't build
a lot of playlists w/ QS

Yeah, I'll update it to say the dict.org action works.
I did find the services menu module made my QS unstable, is it working
for others?

Mouse Triggers don't work with Spaces. Triggers only respond in the
first space, which really sucks.

Actually upon further testing, Mouse triggers only work on the space
that QS was opened in.

What if QS is set to run in all spaces?

DARN!

No dice. I set it to run in all Spaces, then quit QS and re-opened
it. Mouse Triggers only worked in the space in which I opened QS.

Whenever I try to set a mouse trigger, when I click "Save", the window
doesn't disappear, though a trigger is made. I can't click cancel to
dismiss the dialogue, but I can esc out of it. When I try to edit the
mouse trigger, upon selection I get a system beep, and I can't change
some of the options (such as the number of clicks). I've tried
reinstalling just the plugin to no avail.

And I've had Spaces off for awhile now. Hmm... I guess its time for YA
zap then (this is getting kinda old... ).

One feature I miss in QS is to switch to english input when the hud is
activated.
Because I use Chinese input method most of the time, but mostly only
english commands are needed for QS. So for many times, when QS is
activated and I start to type, I realize I forgot to change the input...

And this got worse when Apple decided to remove the option of using
different input method in different applications.

If possible, I wish future version of QS have an option to set input
method on activation(to english, or on the basis of current
application?) and set it back to what it was on execution/cancel.

Or is there already a way to do this that I don't know? QS is too deep
to learn it all...

Thank you.

Shi Songhua.

Well it seems "reply to author" doesn't post to the public board so
for everyone's future benefit . . .
I find the easiest way to address this by setting up a keyboard
shortcut to through the keyboard preferences pane to select the next
input method editor (IME). I set mine to cmd-space and change my
default Spotlight shortcut to cmd-shift-space (I hardly open the full
Spotlight window and when I need to I usually go through a Finder
window, but I guess this has changed on Leopard).

With this setup you can bring up QS then hit cmd-space to switch to
English then type your command. This is troublesome however with more
than two IMEs because you end up having to cycle back and forth rather
than toggle. If you want, you can set up another shortcut that selects
the previous IME instead of the next one.

A better way might be to get the wonderful QIM Chinese IME <http://
glider.ismac.cn/RegQIME.html> It is far superior to Apple's default
Chinese IME and it also allows you to switch between Chinese and
Roman (English) input with the mere press of Caps Lock.

And better yet, Apple would fix the "allow different input source for
each document" in the international preferences pane :-p This way
through the OS you could set English to be the default Quicksilver
language. But at least in 10.4.11 this doesn't work consistently at
all :-p Maybe it was fixed in 10.5.x?

hi, I just found one plugin(http://limechat.net/inputswitcher/) to
restore the option in leopard.

It helps a lot, with QS and also with other apps.
