SpecTheater: Spring '10 Preview

Hi all,

My name's Dan Flicker (CC '12), and I'll be covering most on-campus
theater and comedy groups this semester for the Spectator. Hopefully
I'll have the opportunity to meet many of you in the coming months;
the prospect makes it almost bearable for me to get back to class this
week.

Anyway, we'd love for our section--as well as Columbia's performance
groups--to start the semester with plenty of momentum, and plan to run
a feature this week highlighting some of the major shows coming down
the pipeline. We hope to raise our readers' interest in upcoming
performances right off the bat, as well as to convey a general sense
of what to expect in the performing arts scene this semester. So, I
would REALLY appreciate it if you'd take a minute to let me know what
your organizations will be up to in the next few months (show titles,
approximate dates, etc.), and briefly, why we ought to be excited.
This feature is set to run on Thursday 1/21, so if you'd like to be
included, please send me any information at drf...@gmail.com by noon
on Tuesday 1/19.

My name is Adam May. I was a close friend of Ruthie Fierberg, the last theatre editor. I've always wanted to write for the spec and figured theatre (or music) was my area of expertise and would be a good place to start.
