Black Tape presents THE WEEK THAT WAS + MITCHELL MUSEUM + EX LION
TAMER
Saturday 18th April, 8pm
Sneaky Pete’s, 73 Cowgate
Tickets: £5 from
ticketweb.co.uk and Ripping
THE WEEK THAT WAS’ self-titled debut was one of the most critically
acclaimed albums of last year, drawing praise from such influential
sources as The Guardian (4 Stars), Drowned In Sound (9/10), Pitchfork
(8.2/10) and NME (8/10). The brainchild of Field Music’s resident
genius Peter Brewis, TWTW make complex pop songs full of harmonies,
melody and intrigue that reveal something new upon each listen.

In support are Glasgow’s MITCHELL MUSEUM, who are fast building a
reputation for being one of Scotland’s most exciting new acts. Their
sound is that peculiar brand of melodic eccentricity made famous by
Flaming Lips and Animal Collective: A very fine thing, in other
words.

EX LION TAMER is one man with a laptop and a bunch of wonderful, super-
polished tunes up his sleeve that sound as if they’ve been made in a
laboratory devoted to researching pop-perfection. See what we mean at
