Club plan for 2012

Hi all,

Isabelle mentioned it might not be clear what I intend to do as president of BPC. Well, the meetings will go along as they have for the rest of 2012. After that, the Blacksburg Photo Club will be no more (unless someone else wants to take it over from me). 

In case you have not heard, Dennis Neale and I started NRV Exposure on June 1st. It's an action-oriented photography club without a regularly-scheduled meeting time, but with meetups scheduled once or twice a week in various places. The emphasis is on hanging out together and taking pictures at the meetup, then showing them on either NRVExposure.com or on Flickr.  

So far we've met at Pandapas Pond, shot zombies the Summer Solstice Festival, and had a scavenger hunt in Blacksburg. Next up: Evening Light at Heritage Park on July 5th. 

We already have 80 members, and I hope you all will sign up at NRVExposure.com and participate as well. There are no club dues, and we have no plans for any. There's no competition, and no need to make prints. As we go along I'm sure we'll have educational meetups somewhere in the mix. We always encourage trading tips and helping each other.
