Location Ideas for Portraits???

Does anyone have any great location ideas for portraits in Downtown Blacksburg? Would love some ideas on specific locations.

I’d suggest the Hahn Garden on the VT campus, too. Shade trees for soft indirect light and flowers for some color…

Thank you - I'm actually very familiar with all of the "popular" places in Blacksburg like that. I'm specifically looking for downtown Blacksburg ideas. Any beautiful buildings, graffiti, interesting lines, etc, etc.

Depends what you're going for. Pandapas pond - the wood bridge is amazing, duck pond; urban could be benches at the farmers' market, the wood supports there, the alley right off the farmers' market is really cool, alcove tucked in behind bolos is neat, the side of the building with red and brick just off the old town hall, the side of the building with the italian place right downtown (it's got stares, really cool browns, graffiti and industrial "stuff"), all around the armory, shoot vertical down college ave., right on main downtown.

Hey Paula,

I believe there is an interesting ally that you can take between the farmer's market area and main street- cool graffiti and I think also some neat paint texture on the buildings?

This perhaps won't help Paula, but speaking of downtown there is the
international street fair tomorrow (Sat) 11am-4pm. Should be a fun
event with lots of good food and opportunities for candid shots.
