Dear Sam,

New York State Attorney General Letitia James has shamefully decided to not indict NYPD officers Cianfrocco and Alongi for the murder of Win Rozario last year. Despite ample evidence of wrongdoing, AG James is letting them walk free.

In response, Win’s family said “AG James’ cowardly decision not to indict NYPD Officers Matthew Cianfrocco and Salvatore Alongi for murdering our beloved son and brother, Win Rozario, feels like we’re watching Win get murdered all over again…. Every day without Win is unbearable, and now we must live with the fact that the cops who murdered him will face no criminal consequences.”

The AG’s decision perpetuates the sort of reckless behavior which resulted in Win’s murder and those of so many others. We cannot allow the same story to continue where NYPD officers can violate the law, violate NYPD guidelines and face no consequences.
