Dear CLSJ Family and Friends,
It’s Votetober, and voting season is officially underway! Early voting begins on October 25th and runs through November 2nd, giving you plenty of time to make your voice heard.
There are six ballot proposals this year. Don’t forget to flip your ballot over to review every proposal and vote “YES” or “NO” on each one before you submit the ballot.
CLSJ is hosting free events designed to prepare our community for the upcoming general election, spark civic action, and strengthen community connections. Whether you’re just getting started with civic engagement or you’re a longtime advocate, you’ll find practical information, meaningful dialogue, and opportunities to get involved.
📺 October 22nd: Mayoral Debate Watch Party at Sweet Catch Brooklyn. Discussion, insights and conversation with Lurie Daniel Favors.
🎬 October 23rd: Cinema With a Cause Screening: “ Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America“ A powerful film screening that digs deep into the roots of racism in America.
We need dedicated individuals to help remind the community about the importance of voting. That’s why we are excited to announce some incredible opportunities to join our team as we prepare our community for the election this fall.
Community Education:
- The Center for Law and Social Justice is seeking a talented Social Media advocate and storyteller to join our team.
Resources:
- And don’t forget to download our Voting Guide to access all the resources you need to confidently plan your vote.
By sharing these opportunities, you’ll help us connect with passionate candidates who are ready to use the law as a tool for equity and change. Together, we can support the next generation of legal advocates committed to making a meaningful impact in our communities.
To learn more about the positions and submit your application materials, please email in...@clsj.org.
