What do our students want to know about America? How can we meet their needs?  Carol

What comes to mind for me is a field trip of sorts, high school style :)  Shere-Ling set me up with Lingfeng for some one-on-one time, which has been really great. We got to talking a while ago about basketball and ended up planning going to a Bucks game. When I met a couple of his friends, we ended up talking about the New Glarus brewery and taking their tour someday. His friend Wei mentioned he'd not been to Chicago and would like to check out the sights and museums etc. and that got me thinking that it would be pretty sweet to organize some field trips around the area - trips that we could carpool or maybe even coordinate a bus trip or something. Just some thoughts...

Hi Mike,

Thank you for sharing. You are doing great with Lingfeng and his friends. I am totally for the idea of field trips. That is doing life together!!! What a great way to befriend internationals.  When weather is nice we need to do it.

Every year I take students and scholars to Willow Creek Community Church for Easter and Christmas service. We went by two card with ten plus people. We attended the Saturday service before the actual Easter or Christmas day. Maybe we can combine the field trip with Easter service together. What do you all think about this? Maybe we can go before end of this Spring break even, say March 21.
