Greetings,
Currently, after being a co-host for ESL Cafe from February 8 until July 5, I'm on a long trip (July 9 to August 6, and maybe longer) to California (visiting family who are there for the wedding of my niece) and Texas (to visit my other niece and attend the annual meeting of ASA, a Christian organization I work with).
The main hosts during my trip (and also the past two months) are Eleanore Tollman plus Tingting Sullivan and her husband Sean.  If you want to help with hosting on a particular Sunday, this will be appreciated; contact Tingting (Emily) whose address is in the CC.  Information about Eleanore and Tingting is at the end of this message.
A homepage for ESL Cafe is https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/crusbult/web/eslcafe/ and if you have ideas for this page or (more important) for what we can do to make ESL Cafe more useful and appealing, please share your ideas with us, and do a "Reply All" so Tingting and Eleanore will be included.

Craig

Hi Craig,

I was finally able to attend Blackhawk service this last Sunday after a long break. Looking forward to seeing you soon. We had Jun Li and her daughter Kattie, besides Xianzhang Meng this last Sunday.

Update for your prayer consideration -
Xiao (Kevin) Lin and the family - on vacation until 8/15
Xiaodong - spends more time with his family since he has a car now
Nengchao - research paper due soon
Xianzhang - TOEFL test sometime in September

I am working on getting an ESL class on August for a group of visiting scholar's kids per Jun Li's request.
Blessings,
Shere-Ling

Hi there,

*** I just want to encourage the group hosts via this email and I won't be able to lead this week.

Greetings! It seems that we had a wonderful idioms class again last Sunday led by Sean. Even thought it was a smaller class, due traveling and camping trip, and sickness, and etc.. We know that God's blessings would still bestow upon all who showed up. And your hard work will not be in vain. I remember when I first started out ESL Cafe back in winter of 2008, one Sunday we had no-show. How can we promote ESL Cafe in the coming semester? I believe we need to pray to God and ask God to help us to knock doors that people will open doors to come.

Okay. Who is willing to lead ESL Cafe this coming Sunday? I have an idea - how about we break into groups to talk about our summer travel experiences. What do you think? Any other ideas?

Blessings,
Shere-Ling
