ESL Cafe notes from yesterday, March 8 -
We had a fruitful outcome in ESL Cafe today. Emily, a undergrad student whom I met in ICCH (International Conversation and Coffee House) for a few times, showed up the first time. She told me that her host family in Michigan told her that she should go to church. One American has agreed to meet Rui for English conversation (one-on-one program) outside of church time and walls. One visiting scholar/student missed today's activities due to time change. I was at the bus stop in Eagle Heights at 8:40 am and he showed up at 9:30 am. I hope to meet him on campus sometime this week. Hong's son went to snow camp with middle school ministry a few weeks ago and she showed up today at ESL Cafe. Yan continues to show her charm not only in ESL Cafe but also her engaging in conversation about the sermon in International Club. We also met Mr. Xu, a Surgeon came by himself. Wow!! Apparently his co-worker in Beijing told me to visit church in America and his roommate in Eagle Heights told him about Blackhawk and the bus schedule.
I spent last Friday night on campus at Faith Community Church to pray with three other campus mission agencies. How wonderful to witness the power of prayer the morning of 3/8.
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).
Blessings,
