Rifle BagTag Challenge

Hello All,

I know it's strange to think about biathlon racing beginning in the summer, but Blackhawk racing begins this month on August 17th with a running/shooting event. There will be additional races in October and November, and with any luck we will have snow to begin our winter skiing race season in December. 

I will be initiating a new race incentive program for Blackhawk biathletes. This will start with the August race and continue with fall races, ending with the last race of the winter season in March. It will include all races at Blackhawk this summer and fall, and then all races in the Wisconsin race series at Blackhawk and Ariens. The hope is that we will get more participation by Blackhawk biathletes in Wisconsin races. 

Here is how the incentive program will work: For each race, the male and female shooters with the highest shooting percentage for each of our races will be given a bag tag to attach to their rifle bags. Those best shooters will keep the bag tag until the next race, when they will hold on to the tag if they are best shooter again, or relinquish it to the best shooter of that race. This will continue until the last race of the season. Racers who carried the bag tag the most during the season will be awarded first, second and third place awards. If there is a tie, a tie breaker will be initiated.
