Dear Member,

The Black Presence in Britain website has been around for nine years
now. We are still ringing in the changes though. Web technology is
constantly marching forward, so keeping the site upto date hasn't
always been easy.

However, with the arrival of web 2.0 applications and a little bit of
PHP programming the site is coming back to its best again.

Today you will find Black Presence on YOUTUBE, on Facebook and on
Myspace. As you can see we have our own homebuilt blog. The Forums
have been rebuilt and we are actively recruiting new members.

However, websites are built on their audience, so we are asking you to
tell us what you want to see on the site. Perhaps you have some
content you'd like to add, or maybe you know of a website we should be
working with. Be sure to check out the new Links page.

Ultimately, this site is your your site and the point of its very
existence is to bring together and deliver information about the
lives, culture and history of African/Caribbean people in Great
Britain and Ireland.
