Hullo all,

Lucid Technics is proud to release the first production quality
version of Blackboard (0.40_76). This release features numerous bug
fixes and vastly improved performance due to significant redesign of
the event processing system.

Among the many improvements are:

Jsr223 scripting support for the following engines: JavaScript via
Rhino, Ruby via JRuby, Groovy and Java via Groovy, and Python via
Jython. This means Blackboard plans can be written in your favorite
scripting language!

Blackboard now precompiles plans for increased performance.

Blackboard now runs lock free for increased performance.

Blackboard has the ability to temporarily persist workspaces to disk.
This capability allows Blackboard designers to support applications
where events may arrive over long periods of time, and reduces anxiety
regarding memory management.

Blackboard standalone deployment is improved to the point that the
size of the actual executable and its dependencies has been reduced
from 9MBs to under 3MBs.

Blackboard now supports configuration of the Blackboard and Workspace
resources via simple specially named scripts.

Javadoc is now available!

Numerous minor bug fixes.

Please download and try it out. We are very happy with all the
improvements and would like to know what you think.
