Hello friends

As more and more of us shift to the BlackBerry 10 software the need for apps becomes the major demand. Apart from the now satisfactory app store of BlackBerry we have an option to side load Android apps on the Playbook and now the same QNX based ‎BlackBerry 10 handsets.

BlackBerry is really moving fast to get the latest Jellybeans based Android runtime on the BlackBerry 10 handsets which will launch with an OS upgrade 10.2.

For the newcomers I will explain how to side load the Android apps on your BlackBerry 10 handsets.

First of all you need to download this software called DDPB on your PC from the link provided.

Next you need to change few settings on tour BlackBerry 10 handsets

Go to Settings - got to Security - go to Development mode, Turn it on- feed a simple password- connect your handset to the PC - run the DDPB software - click on scan in the DDPB sofrware- and select development IP Address 169.254.0.1 - next click on password and feed in your password and click connect - once the software is connected to the handset- add the bar files and click install

That's it

Remember your PC will ask for the handset ‎password when the device manager connects your handset to the PC

Pl find attached the link to my favourite bar files

Sagar

I was trying it with 4 diff app, all returned the favors, and when I was trying I was doing it with ddpb's latest. It was around 5 months back.

That's hard luck I guess

Unpacking errors have happened to me too, but for some apps not all, plus the BlackBerry 10 handsets have the advanced Android Runtime so it happens less, and with the Jellybean runtime most apps won't return this favour :)
