RE: Updates on the Built for BlackBerry Competition/Jam Africa Challenge

Hello great people,

Please find below an email I got from the team behind he Built for BlackBerry Africa Challenge, the game is still on.

It has been a bit of time since Luca’s last email below and we thought we would touch base to remind you that we are still collecting Apps that qualify for the Jam Africa challenge.

We also have good news to share on that front:

1)      We have extended the deadline to the end of 2013 to give you and your community members more time to develop and get the app Built_for_BlackBerry (BfB) certified. So far we have received dozens of apps but we are expecting a lot more!

2)      After getting a lot of feedback with regard to the prizing model, we have decided to reward four instead of one application by applying this scheme: $4000 to the best app; $3000 to the 2nd best; $2000 to the 3rd best and $1000 for the 4th best app.

 

I would also like to remind you of the simple conditions:

 

1)      The apps that qualify for the challenge must have  BfB certification, after the Jams we run last summer. The BfB criteria and the BfB testing plans are documented here.

2)      Only Jam participants are eligible to participate in the challenge.

So guys there is still hope, Let me know if you need help or have problems with you app.
