 Good Dhamma Book Of Late Kirti Patil
               Late Kirti Patil was born on 13th August 1922. At the age of 18, she was married.  She was the Welcome Chairperson of the Women's Wing of Scheduled Caste Federation in 1942, when Bodhisatva Dr Ambedkar formed that Organization. Dr Ambedkar while he was a Labour Member in the Viceroy's Executive Council,he had secured a Govt of India Scholarship for her for two years college education.She has two sons and one daughter. After her retirement from her teaching job, she started writting Books on the Dhamma. Her first Marathi book namely " Tathagatachi Satyagatha" was a translation of " The Gospel Of Buddha by Paul Carus" in 1986. This book was printed and donated to Ven. Dr Bhadant Anand Kaushalyan. She published her second book in 1991 namely " Boudhacharya Vidhi" containing the details of the rituals on Buddhism. Its speciality was that Buddhist Vandana were tranlated in Marathi in poetic form, in the same meter as the original Pali Vandana. Her third book was a translation from Hindi into Marathi " Sitecha Vanwas"  for the purpose of educating the general masses regarding the injustice done to Sita by Rama. Her fourth book was " Bouddh Dhamma Jijnasa" in Marathi in 1997 at the age of 75. This is a Buddhist Catechism containg 750 questions and answers in five chapters devoted to the Buddha, His Dhamma, His Sangha, the spread of Buddhism and the relation of Buddhism with today's science. She died on 28th May 2001. All this information has been given to me by her elder son Vikas Taranath Patil, a Retd. Chief Mechanical Engineer from Indian Railways.
