I need some parts filled for this weekend's show.

I need someone to play a hippy mad scientist. Think Dennis Hopper

I need someone else to play a bunch of characters who are all clones.
You'll need to do a bunch of accents and dialects. So let me know
which you can do, and I'll write to your strengths.

I'm imagining both parts as male but you could probably sway me if you
do a killer stoner or a bunch of dialects.

Let me know!

Sounds like fun.....don't know if my accent goes much beyond my Okie
twang but I will try anything once...and if it feels good then I will
do it again...

JD,

I'm not sure there's anything Okie in this one. Keep bugging me though because with as unique a voice as you have, there's got to be really good characters that can be written for you. I just haven't found them yet.

Caleb:
Keep me in mind...I am new to this pod casting and am still
just getting my toes damp in this big pond....I am working on
increasing my accents/voices, now attempting to add a north Texas
voice to my south Okie sound......or was that a backhanded complement
about my voice that you sent....y'all just got to go a bit easy on
usuns goodold boys here in Okieland..y'all nos weuns just don't no
nothing bout that there sarcasm youuns in the big city got....

Just a note on your last podcast (#26). I agree with you on
the point about the talking heads and the political porno...I have
talked about this for many years (I was in hight school when JFK was
shot and it was a bigger event that Tim's). I am addicted to the porn
(political that is) and can't seem to take my eyes off it. I have to
read my Drudge every morning and have even been known to use my dvr to
record two talking head shows while watching a third live and having
Rush on the radio telling me what to think.......my question Dr.
Caleb, do you know of any good drugs or maybe some type of AA for a
over the top political junkie....

Jobs, I'm sorry but I don't know of any....I retired two years
ago and left an opening in St. Louis but I think that they have filled
it already...

TTFN,
JerryD

No that wasn't sarcasm. Your voice sounds exactly like the voice of an old enough to retire but young enough to podcast guy from Oklahoma. My dad's in Oklahoma but he still sounds pretty much like a guy from Chicago.

There isn't any way to ween yourself off of politics that I know of. I think the best you can do is not take it too seriously. I think of it as absurdist theatre, it never lets me down. On any side of the aisle, on any side of any issue, there's at least one person being more ridiculous than you could make up. Holy rollers committing unholy acts. Close minded liberals (and neo-cons) who want you to be free but only in exactly the way they proscribe with no deviation for uh... freedom.  And of course the truly corrupt who seem to be  what keeps the whole thing actually working well enough that nobody riots much. They always entertain.
