Greetings from sorta' frigid Pierre!

Hey, I'll be in Rapid City/Sturgis area weekdays starting next Wed (Apr 9) and lasting for a few months. If there already is a weekday(s) group ride established would someone please let me know when/where? If there isn't an established weekday(s) ride what day/time would work for most riders. Pace would be A-/B+.

Assuming the Howling Rabbit starts next month (May?) and runs Tues eve that'd leave Wed or Thurs for a group ride. Since most riders also go big on the weekend Thursdays would be most logical weekday for a group ride. Let me know and thanks, randy

PS: 4th Annual Wellmark Tour de Oahe on June 28: I rode the long route (63 mi) last Sat. The climbs are still there. Unfortunately, my Garmin ate the file. Will try to ride it again this weekend and get the route and 8 Strava segments posted. Already have a dozen or so riders from Rapid registered as well as 3 states and over a dozen towns represented but we're still waiting for your registration. According to a serious rider from a Sioux Falls bike shop the WTdO is the best single day event in South Dakota. $25 till end of April ($35 starting May 1)nets you two meals, snacks, hyrdration, SWAG (If you're KOM or QOM Champ), T (registered by June 20), mobile mechanic, SAG (M &/or M only), camaraderie, limited free camping/RV hookups (contact me), etc.

There currently isn't a group ride set u.  There is sometime group rides on both Wednesday and Thursday in the summers but nothing has started.  I was going to start howling early in hope to break my record this year and was getting ready to increase my training volume.  I normally try to ride with groups on wednesday and thursday so I should be able to make them work out.  What is a A-/B+ pace?

May as well try and get something started. While in Tucson last month I rode with a social club, Cactus Cycling Club. Rides varied from 30 - 45 miles and their motto is "No behind left behind" which worked very well. They define speeds as:

Pace or ride level is described by a letter:  A is the faster paced ride; D the slowest paced ride.   Pace is the AVERAGE speed for the ride.  Actual speeds experienced during the ride will vary greatly from the average on A/B+ rides and little on B-/C rides.

A = 19+,    B+ = 16-18,     B = 14-16,     B- = 13-15,     C+ = 12-14,    C = 10-12,     D = <10
